Why it matters
Released 26 July 2016 on Dream Catalogue, and deliberately not a sequel. HKE called Birth of a New Day the greatest album he was ever involved in, and Rain Temple “much more involving, dramatic, and cinematic”. Sean O'Neal at The A.V. Club took it as evidence that “Vaporwave is no longer a joke”.
