Why it matters
The record that proved the aesthetic could be produced rather than assembled. HKE's stated aim was "to show how the whole vaporwave vibe could be made as original music rather than just relying on the same muzak and kitsch-pop samples everyone else had been using for years". The reference point for dreampunk, and made by two people sending files back and forth over the internet.
