Why it matters
One of the two founding templates, released a year before the genre had a name. Lopatin called it "a DIY practice that didn't involve any specialized music tech knowledge" — audio handled in a way that "had very little to do with music and everything to do with feelings". A hundred cassettes were pressed; originals now reach $400 on Discogs.
