Koenig spent his first decade in Warp-inspired IDM before moving into vaporwave, which puts him among the few figures here who arrived as an experienced producer rather than as someone discovering a method.
Between 2013 and 2015 he made at least three records now treated as classics of the genre, including a split with Telepath at the height of that project's early fame. Dream Sequins® is the one most often named.
The work sits at the collage and plunderphonics end rather than the slowed-loop end — assembled rather than stretched.
